Denver, CO - The day after the inauguration of President Barack Obama and Vice-President Joe Biden, the Association of State Democratic Chairs (ASDC) elected new officers.

Today, Pat Waak, Colorado Democratic Party Chair, was elected to a full term as the ASDC Western Representative to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) executive committee. She has been serving out the term of the previous incumbent.

The position also makes Ms. Waak a member of the ASDC executive.

Also today the DNC met following the ASDC meeting. Colorado DNC members attending included: Waak, Dan Slater, Mannie Rodriguez, Anthony Graves, and Debbie Marquez.

Among the business conducted was a tribute to the outgoing DNC chair, Howard Dean, and the election of the new chair, Gov. Tim Kaine.
