DENVER-Democratic state party chair Pat Waak announced today that the
keynote speaker at the Colorado Democratic Party's annual
Jefferson-Jackson Day dinner on March 7th will be Paul Begala, CNN
political analyst and former top aide to President Bill Clinton. "We
are delighted to have Mr. Begala join us and give us his unique,
well-informed insights on the historic election just passed," Ms. Waak
said. Paul Begala served as Counselor to President Clinton in the White
House, where he helped define and defend the Administration's agenda,
from the State of the Union Address to the economic, domestic and
international issues the White House faced each day. He has helped
direct the political strategy of numerous other campaigns across the
country and around the world, including advising politicians in Europe,
Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa. The Jefferson-Jackson Day dinner is the highest profile and largest
fundraising event held by the state party each year where almost every
major elected official in the state can be found. This year is the 76th
annual edition of the Jefferson-Jackson Day dinner and is being held in
the Korbel Ballroom of the Colorado Convention Center. For more
information on the dinner, visit www.coloradodems.org. Reservations for
the dinner can be obtained by e-mailing 2009JJ@coloradodems.org or call
