After President Obama delivered his third State of the Union Address, Colorado Democratic Party Chairman Rick Palacio offered the following comments:

“President Obama laid out a comprehensive vision for how we can strengthen our economic recovery and reestablish basic fairness for every American. Through practical reforms to our education and immigration systems, reinvigorating American manufacturing, investing in infrastructure, and enforcing fair rules, we can make America more competitive than ever.

“President Obama also made clear that while Washington can do more when people come together, he is prepared to do what he can on his own to move our economy forward and create jobs here. In turn, it is up to all of us to hold our representatives accountable if they refuse to work for Colorado’s and the country’s benefit. President Obama outlined the progress that is possible, and now we must demand that it happen.”
