As Mitt Romney’s Campaign Heads West, Colorado Democrats Call Him Out For Dismissing Millions of Americans’ Needs

As the Republican Presidential nomination contest heads to several states including Colorado, Rick Palacio, Chairman of the Colorado Democratic Party, offered the following comments as Mitt Romney brings his campaign west:

“When Mitt Romney says he’s ‘not concerned about the very poor,’ it becomes clear that he approaches public service and the Presidency the way he sliced up companies and enriched himself as a CEO. People’s lives hang in the balance when Presidents make decisions, but Mitt Romney sees them as a line on a balance sheet. That kind of mentality may have enriched Romney personally, but a President has a duty to fight for every American, especially the most vulnerable among us. No one who so casually dismisses the needs and concerns of millions of our fellow Americans is fit to serve as our President, and Coloradans will say as much this November.”
