THE NEXT FRONTIER OF
COLORADO POLITICS
IS LOCAL.
The Colorado Democratic Party is relaunching Colorado County Comeback, a program to help county Democrats run real campaigns in 2026. Selected county parties and county candidates will receive $3,000 grants, campaign planning, training, voter outreach support and staff support.
County offices shape the decisions people feel every day: housing, roads, water, public lands, elections, schools, jobs and whether communities get the resources they need.
In 2024, County Comeback helped local campaigns knock nearly 60,000 doors. This year, we’re starting earlier, investing more and helping more counties compete.
We’re building a party that shows up, listens and fights in every corner of Colorado.
2026 Grant Recipients
The first-round grants range from $1,500 to $3,000. In counties where local parties run on small annual budgets, that money can pay for thousands of texts, digital ads and direct conversations with voters. For some recipients, the grants will double or triple the money available for voter outreach.
The grants will help county parties support Democrats running for county commissioner, sheriff, clerk and other local offices. Recipients will use the money for door knocking, texts, digital ads, efforts to improve voter turnout and registration and more.
