Information
Vote in the 2026 Colorado Primary
Colorado’s Primary Election is Tuesday, June 30 and will decide which candidates move on to the November ballot. If you’re registered, you should already have your ballot. If you do, vote early!
Ballots must be received by your county clerk by 7 p.m. on June 30. Postmarks don’t count.
Vote early. Use a drop box.
To help election officials process ballots quickly and securely, return your ballot as early as you can. The best way to return your ballot is to use a secure ballot drop box in your county.
Key dates
June 9: Ballots are mailed. If you’re unaffiliated, only fill out one party’s primary ballot or neither ballot will count.
June 22: Early voting begins. This is also the last day to update your registration and still receive a ballot by mail.
June 30: Election Day. Voting locations are open, and all ballots must be received by clerks’ offices by 7 p.m.
If you are unaffiliated
Unaffiliated voters receive two primary ballots. Only fill out and return one ballot.
If you return more than one party’s ballot, neither ballot will count. Voting in a party’s primary doesn’t change your voter registration affiliation or mean you are joining that party.
