Victor’s Marx-isms Day 10: “I’m a reverse coconut. Brown on the inside, white on the outside.”

DENVER –  Following the launch of “Con or Marx-ism?” last week, the Colorado Democratic Party is continuing to spotlight Republican nominee Victor Marx’s top Marx-isms to remind Colorado voters just how extreme and unfit he is to lead Colorado.

Play Con or Marx-ism? here.

Victor’s Marx-isms Day 10: “I’m a reverse coconut. Brown on the inside, white on the outside.”

Even over a yearlong campaign, Marx could never quarantine his foot-in-mouth disease on the campaign trail. At one point, Marx attempted to connect with voters using his father’s apparent criminal background and one very strange metaphor:

“So my background, my father was a drug dealer and a pimp. I tell people I’m a reverse coconut. Brown on the inside, white on the outside. I’m very comfortable around people of color.”

Marx’s agonizing and offensive attempts to show sympathy with people of color were further undercut by his past of inflammatory and bigoted comments. Marx’s intense advocacy to end abortion was partly based on his belief that it is a “self-inflicted genocide” in the Black community, and he said illegal immigrants from non-Western countries “will be hunted, rooted out.”
