Victor’s Marx-isms Day 15: “I’m really hunting demons.”

DENVER – Today concludes the Colorado Democratic Party’s “15 Days of Victor’s Marx-isms,” the three-week-long foray into the Republican gubernatorial nominee’s most extreme views, bizarre behavior and staggeringly inept campaign, through Marx’s own words.

Every quote confirming for voters just how unfit he is to lead Colorado is still captured and cited at our micro-site, Con or Marx-ism?

Victor’s Marx-isms Day 15: “I’m really hunting demons.”

Marx has run a self-interested, discombobulated campaign that’s utterly scrambled what’s left of the Colorado GOP, and left every Republican down-ballot candidate vulnerable to another thumping come Election Day. But little can better sum up Marx’s decidedly un-orthodox campaign than his own relentless orthodoxy on what all this is really about:

“And once you know how to crush demons and set people free for the warrior, you're like, oh, yeah, because you really can destroy demons. And so people know me as a pedophile hunter. We got patches, but in reality, I'm really hunting demons.”

Marx spent much of his campaign publicly arguing about whether he was hunting demons, conducting exorcisms, or performing “re-tooling prayers” on people believed to be haunted. Terminology aside, Marx never disputed that this practice is at the center of his $7.5M/year ministry and bolstered Marx’s own personal finances, potentially to the tune of millions. He has insisted that the prayer is free, but 9News reported the eight-part course is available for $19.95.
