Victor’s Marx-isms Day 5: “Then we snuck in from Mexico to Guatemala by coyotes.”
DENVER – This week the Colorado Democratic Party launched a micro-site, “Con or Marx-ism?” and is continuing with 15 Days of Marx-ism to remind Colorado voters just how extreme, reckless and unfit Republican nominee Victor Marx is and spotlight the top Marx-isms.
Victor’s Marx-ismsDay 5 “Then we snuck in from Mexico to Guatemala by coyotes.”
Marx has long used fantastical stories of bizarre exploits abroad to boost his $7.5 million-a-year Colorado Springs ministry:
“Then we snuck in from Mexico to Guatemala by coyotes. How's that? We're freaking everybody out. White people, we mess them all up. They're like, this is not the right way. Take the money, brother. Get me across the river. Let's do this.”
In his books and sermons, Marx boasted that his ministry had rescued between 39,000 and 45,000 women and children in crisis areas from over 30 countries. If that were true, it would be 16% of all US human trafficking victims identified by one group in the last twenty years.
Marx later denied that he had ever made those claims, despite having said it many times in his books, podcasts and church appearances and it remains on his campaign website.
