Colorado Democrats Celebrate Passage of Passenger Rail Measure 7A

DENVER — The Colorado Democratic Party celebrates the passage of Ballot Issue 7A, approving funding for the Colorado Connector passenger rail system along the Front Range.

The measure advances plans to connect communities from Pueblo to Fort Collins, giving residents another way to reach jobs, visit family and travel across the region. Colorado Democrats supported 7A to expand transportation options as the Front Range grows.

“Anyone who has lost an afternoon sitting on I-25 knows why Colorado needs another way to get around,” said Colorado Democratic Party Chair Shad Murib. “Voters have moved us closer to a train that connects our communities and gives people more of their time back. We thank the local leaders and supporters who worked to turn decades of discussion into a plan voters could support.”
