DENVER — The Colorado Democratic Party congratulates Jeff Bridges on his election as Colorado’s next state treasurer.
Bridges campaigned on putting more of Colorado’s investment dollars to work here at home, supporting affordable housing, infrastructure and businesses that create good-paying jobs. His service on the Joint Budget Committee gave him detailed knowledge of the state’s finances and experience working across party lines on difficult budget decisions. He will bring that experience to protecting public funds and pursuing investments that benefit Coloradans.
“Treasurer-elect Bridges has made a compelling case that Colorado’s investments should help build Colorado’s future,” said Colorado Democratic Party Chair Shad Murib. “He understands the responsibility of safeguarding public dollars and the difference those investments can make for a family trying to afford a home or a small business looking to grow.
