Victor’s Marx-isms Day 11: “With the whole abortion issue. This has been a tactic of what we believe is evil.”

DENVER – After launching the micro-site “Con or Marx-ism?” the Colorado Democratic Party is continuing to spotlight Republican nominee Victor Marx’s top Marx-isms – reminding voters just how unfit he is to lead Colorado due to his extreme views and reckless behavior.

Play Con or Marx-ism? here.

Victor’s Marx-isms Day 11:  “We're seeing it with the whole abortion issue. This has been a tactic of what we believe is evil.”

Marx has a clear far-right agenda, regularly bringing up his extreme opposition to abortion as his “spiritual warfare” against “evil” forces. In a podcast appearance with anti-abortion radical Seth Gruber, who founded a national group that harasses and endangers women at Colorado health clinics, Marx went even further:

“So, you know, the manifestation of darkness both in our country and others, is when people, evil goes after children. I mean, we're seeing it with the whole abortion issue. This has been a tactic of what we believe is evil to kill, hurt, destroy children. So we have always stood for, you know, the sanctity of life. And I got a good injection of that when I worked for Focus on The Family with Dr. James Dobson, as his assistant.”

Planned Parenthood, Cobalt and COLOR held a press event earlier this summer to call attention to Marx’s no-exceptions stance, which he has held for decades. In that event, advocates condemned Marx’s repeated inflammatory, degrading comments about women and reproductive freedoms, and the threat he poses to Colorado’s constitutional abortion protections.
