Victor’s Marx-isms Day 9: “I tend to enter difficult situations stupidly. It’s the only way I know how.”

DENVER –  Following the launch of “Con or Marx-ism?” last week, the Colorado Democratic Party is continuing to spotlight Republican nominee Victor Marx’s top Marx-isms to remind Colorado voters just how extreme and unfit he is to lead Colorado.

Play Con or Marx-ism? here.

Victor’s Marx-isms Day 9: “I tend to enter difficult situations stupidly. It’s the only way I know how.”

Marx made clear that he believed competency was his enemy in his self-published book, The Dangerous Gentleman, in a strange story about his first “exorcism” with a 15-year-old girl in a juvenile detention facility:

“I tend to enter difficult situations stupidly. It’s the only way I know how. She looked up at me, her eyes mostly rolled back in her head, and an unnatural voice came out of her: ‘I guess you’re going to say I’m possessed.’”

Marx has run a legendarily bad campaign, unable to outrun his by history-making campaign finance abuses, his “dark past” of violent incidents, self-inflicted controversies over whether he would debate the Democratic nominee, and his failure to ward off a third-party challenge from another hardline conservative. Just this week, Marx made a desperate plea for $100,000 from donors to air TV ads; a reporter said calling Marx’s strategy “too little too late…is an understatement.”

It once seemed unthinkable that a campaign could be more haphazard than Republican Heidi Ganahl’s 2022 gubernatorial run, but Victor Marx proudly wears the new crown for “stumbliest, bumbliest” campaign in Colorado history.
